Pound tumbles in the midst of political vulnerability
The pound tumbled to its most reduced level against the US dollar since early September in the midst of political vulnerability and worries over the strength of the UK economy.
Sterling was exchanging lower by 0.8% at $1.312 versus the dollar, denoting its most minimal point since 7 September.
Neil Wilson, a senior market investigator at ETX Capital, stated:
"The pound is presently off by a penny against the dollar and with firming US information consolidating with ebbing trust in the British economy and government, could surrender more ground."
"Unmistakably there are worries about political hazard resulting to Theresa May's discourse."
